How to choose a practitioner

Practitioners all have their own way of working.   Some work face to face, in which case picking a practitioner who works near to you may be important.   Others may be able to help over the phone, via skype, or by working remotely, in which case they need not work in your locality.

Therapists charge for their time.  What they charge can vary considerably, so you should check this when you make contact.  Often the practitioner will offer a few minutes for discussion before they begin to charge, but again you should check this out.

Be prepared to leave a message or send an e-mail.   A practitioner may not be able to speak to you when you call, especially late at night or at weekends, but they should get back to you in a reasonable amount of time.
